InsureMe has relationships with some of the most competitive insurance companies in the business and receives our “TopTenREVIEWS Bronze Award.” They offer money–saving quotes for a variety of coverage options including auto, health, medical, home and life insurance.

While InsureMe isn't an insurance agency itself, it can instantly get you up to five quotes from a variety of agencies in your area, usually within the same day. However, this program did not receive our Silver Award because it does not offer coverage programs for all types of insurance.

Ease of Use of Service:  

After you complete the online application, InsureMe instantly attempts to match the information you provided with insurance providers in your geographical area. Your information is electronically sent to compatible agencies and they work up their best quotes and contact you with their rates, usually within the same day. If you do not receive a quote or response from an agent, it is usually because the system could not find a provider in you area.

A unique service they offer is that at your request, you can receive a list of the providers that will be sending you their quotes.

To protect your personal information InsureMe uses Thawte SSL certificates to offer secure communications by encrypting all data to and from the site. Thawte has checked and verified the company registration documents and the site's registered domain name.

Quotes Supplied:  

InsureMe's service is geographically based — your quote request is distributed to its partners (agents who have signed-up with their service) based on your zip code. Agents nearest your zip code will then prepare your quote based on the information you have supplied. InsureMe states that they hope to be able to supply each consumer with at least five competitive quotes, free of charge with no obligations.

Help/Support Options:  

InsureMe offers toll–free telephone support that can be accessed during normal business hours, Mountain Standard time. There is also a fax number and a mailing address provided for inquiries.

We were disappointed that InsureMe does not offer an email address to send concerns; most online services offer an email address as a standard form of contact.

Summary:  

InsureMe's service, like most others, is only as good as the agents who have signed up to partner with InsureMe. The site is easy to navigate–even for an Internet novice–and they can even send you a list of the potential insurance providers.

InsureMe provides timely quotes that cover many types of insurance needs. However, they fall short in the area of business insurance, such as professional liability and workers compensation. If you need these types of services look to Insurance Finder.
